A backsplash changes how a kitchen feels. We cut cleanly around outlets and cabinets, keep grout lines consistent, and leave no lippage.

Floors, entryways, mudrooms, laundry rooms. We assess the subfloor first, because good tile work starts well below the surface.
Learn moreAtlanta Tile Installer is a small, owner-operated business working out of the Flat Shoals corridor. We focus on East Atlanta, Edgewood, and Reynoldstown because these are the neighborhoods we know well. The bungalows, the older subfloors, the narrow bathrooms in 1940s homes, the open-plan kitchens in newer builds. Each job type comes with its own set of decisions, and we've worked through most of them already.
We don't subcontract. The crew that answers your call is the crew that shows up and does the work. That matters when you're letting someone into your home.

Option A
Option B
A standard tub surround or shower retile runs two to three days for the tile work itself. That includes surface prep, backer board if needed, setting, and grouting. The grout needs 24 hours to cure before the space is usable. Larger jobs or those with complex patterns take longer.
We handle demo as part of most jobs. Tile removal is included in our scope unless you specifically want to handle it yourself. We assess what's underneath after removal, since older homes sometimes have surprises behind the existing tile.
Porcelain has a lower water absorption rate, which matters in wet areas. It's denser and harder to cut, but it holds up better long-term in showers and around tub surrounds. Ceramic is easier to work with and costs less, and it performs fine in lower-moisture areas like a half bath or laundry room.
Sometimes, but it depends on the condition of what's there. If the existing tile is solid, flat, and well-bonded, tiling over it is possible. If there's any flex, hollow spots, or moisture damage behind it, we recommend removal. Adding a tile layer also raises the floor height, which affects transitions and door clearances.
Either works. Many homeowners pick their own tile from a local supplier and have it on-site before we start. We can also help you source material if you'd prefer. We'll give you a square footage estimate with overage factored in so you don't run short mid-job.
Yes. A lot of the homes in East Atlanta and Edgewood were built in the 1940s and 1950s, and uneven subfloors are common. We use self-leveling compound where needed and assess whether the floor structure can support tile before we start. Skipping that step is how tiles crack six months later.
